Review & print

Flip or mirror PDF pages

Mirror pages horizontally or vertically.

Mirror the pages of a PDF, left to right or top to bottom. A mirrored print is what you need for iron-on T-shirt transfers, window decals and other designs that are seen from the back of the sheet.

Flipping is not the same as rotating: it makes a mirror image. Everything runs in your browser, so the file is never uploaded.

How to flip a PDF

  1. Choose one or more PDFs, or drop them onto the page.
  2. Under Direction, pick "Left ↔ right" for a mirror image, or "Top ↕ bottom" to flip the page vertically.
  3. Under "Apply to", choose All, Odd, Even or Custom pages, such as 2-4.
  4. Select "Flip pages" and download the flipped PDF.

Why flip here

  • Private: pages are mirrored on your device. Nothing is uploaded or stored.
  • Free, with no watermark, no account and no daily limit.
  • Pages stay sharp, because text and graphics are mirrored as they are rather than turned into pictures.
  • Pages you do not choose are copied across unchanged.

Good to know

Mirrored text reads backwards on screen; that is expected. Links, comments and form fields on flipped pages are not kept, so flatten a filled-in form with Flatten PDF first.

If you only need to turn a sideways or upside-down page, use Rotate PDF instead.

Frequently asked questions

How do I mirror a PDF for an iron-on transfer?

Choose "Left ↔ right", select "Flip pages", then print the new PDF on transfer paper. Because the file itself is mirrored, it prints the right way from any device or printer.

What is the difference between flipping and rotating?

Rotating turns a page round, like turning a sheet on a desk. Flipping mirrors it, as if you were looking through the back of the paper.

Is the PDF uploaded?

No. Your browser reads and flips the pages on your own device, and nothing is sent to a server.

Can I flip only some pages?

Yes. Choose Odd, Even or Custom under "Apply to". With Custom, type pages such as 1-3, 5.
